2023 Spring Break Fun with Foods Day Camp

Join us the mornings of Spring Break and learn about foods, cooking, nutrition food safety and much more. This will be a fun, exciting, hands-on educational Day-Camp that will teach youth about cooking in the kitchen. The best part is campers get to enjoy eating all of their creations.

Henrico 4-H is excited to offer 3 fun-filled day camps! Each camp has 16 spots available. Pay attention to the age range for the day camp weeks. Payment information is coming soon.

Discover 4-H Cloverbuds: Explore the joys of the diverse areas 4‑H has to offer. Each day a new topic will be explored. Hands-on activities, games, crafts, and fun discovery opportunities will be shared. This camp is for youth ages 5 – 8, age as of Sept. 30, 2023. Date of Camp: June 12-15.

E.A.T. - Eat, Adventure, and Travel: Youth will travel across four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa, & South America), through multiple countries as we explore cultural foods, crafts, and traditions. This camp is for youth ages  9 – 13, age as of Sept. 30, 2023. Date of Camp: July 10-13.

4 Art 2 Heart: This art-based day camp will focus on building leadership skills that will prepare the participants for career opportunities, while improving their leadership skills. The day camp will be led by Civic Engagement State Pillar Winner and 4-H youth, Nikhita Saravanan and her older sister and 4-H volunteer, Rithanya Saravanan, in addition to support and guidance of other trained adults. This day camp is open to female identifying participants ages 11 - 18, age as of Sept. 30, 2023. Date of camp: July 10-13.

Refunds will be given as follows:

Discover 4-H: Cloverburds

  • Full refund (minus $5 processing fee) through May 22

  • 50% refund May 23-June 2

  • No refund after June 2

E.A.T. 

  • Full refund (minus $5 processing fee) through June 16

  • 50% refund June 17-June 30

  • No refund after June 30

4 Art 2 Heart

  • Full refund (minus $5 processing fee) through July 3

  • 50% refund July 4-July 14

  • No refund after July 14

If you register for a day camp week in which your child is age ineligible, you will be refunded the full amount minus a $5 processing fee.

All day camps will be held in the Demo Kitchen at the Henrico Extension Office which is located in at 8600 Dixon Powers Dr, Henrico, VA 23228 in the Human Services Building on the second floor. The day camps are from 8 AM-12 PM. Drop off for day camp begins at 7:45 AM, with a prompt pick-up time of 12 PM.
